Today we decided to bake some brownies and the kids wanted to help. Rileigh was busy playing at first so Grant added all of the ingredients to the mixer and did a wonderful job, then Rileigh decided she wanted to help so she turned the mixer on a little too high so we all got dusted with a little chocolate powder, oh well. Next the kids wanted to lick the spoons, probably the best part of baking! I was suprised Grant liked it he usually only likes tanilla (vanilla) things.

Funny Boy
So I am still potty training Grant... wow I never knew boys were really that much harder than girls to potty train, Rileigh pretty much just did it, no problems. So I took some funny pics of him the other day sitting on the potty, he was reading the Sunday funnies... we were cracking up it was too cute!
Mom I will not be happy about this when I am older!
Here is a video of him singing in the bathtub.... he sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all the time. I thought it was cute.. he may not like me for this when he gets older either.... oh well that's what moms are for, right?

Hearts, Flowers, and Candy
I have not blogged much this month or last for that matter but my laptop decided that it did not want to work anymore so I had to have HP send me a new hard drive which means I lost everything on my computer (at least it was still under warranty).
Anyway this past weekend we along with most of America celebrated Valentines Day. Chad and I went out to dinner and a movie the weekend before the big day because we had a babysitter available. The day before of we took the kids to Steak N Shake and gave them some candy after all they couldn't wait one more day for candy. So the day of we got a call from Shawn and Jill who invited us out to an early movie and dinner with them, and best of all Chad's younger brother and his girlfriend were going to watch all 5 kids (what were they thinking?). So we went and had a great time together. We hadn't been out all together without the kids since before Rileigh and Spencer were born. The funniest part of the evening was when Jill and I started to mess with Evan, who is pretty gullible... We sent him a few text messages telling him we needed to get a hotel room because none of us could drive home and that we would see him in the morning, needless to say he was pretty happy to see us when we arrived home!

Happy Birthday Big Girl!!!!
Today is my 1st baby's 5th birthday.... I can't believe how big she is getting! She constantly
Age 2 1/2
She was almost 21 months when Grant was born, she seemed so big to me when he was born, she looks like a baby herself.
Here she is playing with her cousins Noah and Spencer. They were jumping on the bed which they were not supposed to do but as usual they did it anyway.

What to do on a cold day.....
So today we went to the Childrens Museum of Indianapolis so the kids could run out some of their energy. They too are tired of this cold weather and are ready for spring to be here. I know we haven't posted much lately.... sorry not a lot going on around the Lancster household. So here are some cute pics that we took today. The kids had a blast and as usual were not happy about leaving but mommy and daddy were ready so we coerced them to leave by getting them some cotton candy (you gotta do what you gotta do)... Thanks to grandpa Mark and grandma Sandy for renewing our membership so we can have another year of fun at the museum!!!
The first place we had to visit was the Dinosphere one of the kids' favorite displays.
I'm pretty sure the goggles go the other way but who am I to say???
Watch out Rileigh!!!!!!
Grant watching the trains go by..... his 2nd favorite place to be.
Rileigh's 2nd favorite spot... It was nice because it wasn't too crowded today so we got to go 3 times in a row.... how exciting!!!!
Who knew Captain America would be visiting the museum today.... he looks vaguely familiar....
Rileigh at the mirror wall checking herself out... she is a girl.
Saying goodbye to the musuem. They were doing some construction and a lego exhibit is coming soon so we had to pose by the Lego Construction worker.
Dinosaur cookie in one hand cotton candy in the other...... he may never go to sleep tonight :)
