So not a lot going on here lately. Rileigh had her last soccer game on Sunday and got her medal for the season. It was too cute. The team went to Culvers afterwards for ice cream and had fun playing together. We are all going to try to be on the same team again in the spring, the girls get along really well. The coach was telling us that he thinks Rileigh will be good at soccer if she keeps it up, she and one other girl on the team were the only 2 to score at all this season. Thank goodness she doesn't have her mother's athletic abilities!

Family Camping Trip
This past weekend we went camping with most of my mom's family. Yes that is right we were camping with my parents 4 of my aunts and uncles, my siblings, their spouses, and some of my cousins! There was a large group of us and we had a great time! We went to Patoka Lake in southern Indiana. We arrived Friday evening and had to put our tent up in the dark but with the help of my sister in law Cathy and my day shining flashlights on us we got it up in no time (well mostly Chad got the tent up). We sat by the fire roasted marshmallows, hot dogs, and ate way too much food! On saturday we took a walk down to the beach which was 3 miles each way, so on the way back I had to give piggy back rides to the kids, whew that was a workout carrying them! We did a lot of relaxing and hanging out and had a great time overall! Even though it was FREEZING outside at night!!!!! The kids had a blast and loved spending all that time outdoors!

Day on the Farm
Sunday we went to Smith Family Farms in Pendelton with Nana and Papa. If you get a chance it is a great place for the kids and the parents. http://www.smithfamilyfarms.com/

The kids had fun hunting for a pumpkin in the pumkin patch. They picked a pretty big one to bring home to our front porch.
They also played on the playground and in the sand. There was a real tractor to play on and a pretend cow to milk. Grant's favorite was the playhouse that had food and a kitchen. He made us some tasty carrots in the oven.
They also walked through the corn maze where Grant led the way, he lept saying "I know the path, follow me!" It was too cute!
They also got temporary tattoos, Rileigh got lips on her hand and a butterfly on her cheek. Grant got a spider on his hand which he refused to get a picture of.
Both of the kids had fun at the petting zoo Grant's favorite animals were the baby chicks they were only 3 days old. Rileigh got to pet one of the baby chicks and she loves petting all of the animals and said that the sheep felt like a pillow! Rileigh also got to ride on a pony for the first time, she loved it.

Happy 3rd Birthday Big Boy!!!
He loves balloons so I got him 3 of his favorite things: Spiderman, Thomas the Train, and a Football.
Today is Grant's 3rd birthday. It just seems like yesterday that he was a newborn. He has gotten so big in the last 3 years that I am pretty sure it won't take him long to be taller than me.... He has changed so much in the last 3 years, when he was a newborn his hair was really curly when I washed it, it was so funny I couldn't believe how curly it was but of course that didn't last long... it is now stick straight just like his momma's. He still has a lot of mommy's likenesses, he is somewhat shy at least at first and is a little bit timid about doing certain things. He will climb the stairs all the way to the top of the tall slides at the park but will not go down the slide, he would rather come back down the stairs where it is safe. He also does not like the swinging bridge on the playset at the park, he makes me hold his hand when he crosses it everytime. In time this will all pass and he will be afraid of nothing and won't need to hold mommy's hand on a daily basis but mommy will always be there to kiss the bumps and bruises along the way and no matter how big he gets he will always be mommy's baby :)
The party is tommorrow so I will post more pics later this weekend.

Rileigh's favorite things
Since I had a post about Grant the other day I thought I would give you a list of Rileigh's favorite things. Her favorite indoor activity is artsy stuff like painting, coloring, stamps, stickers, etc. Her other favorite thing to do indoors is play dress up and dress up like a princess (of course). She also likes helping mommy in the kitchen she likes to stir and add stuff to the mixing bowl when we are making cookies or even dinner. Her favorite show is Wow Wow Wubzy on Noggin (don't ask me what this character is supposed to be). When the weather is nice she likes to play outside with her friends in the neighborhood. Most of the kids are 3 or 4 years older than Rileigh but they all play well together. Everyone keeps commenting on how tan she is but it's not for lack of
sunscreen she is just always outside in the summer. She loves to ride her bike and her razor scooter. Her favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk. Her favorite dinner is cheese pizza and her favorite dessert is chocolate ice cream on a cone (do you see a theme???). She gets her love of chocolate from her grandmas because she sure doesn't get it from us. She also loves school and still gets excited everyday that she goes. These are some of Rileigh's favorite things. Oh yeah she also loves her family, all of them and gets excited to see them each time they come to visit or she goes to visit them.
This is Rileigh with her best friend Jillian who lives across the street.
Here is a video of her ballet class I didn't get the whole dance bc my memory card was full but I got most of it... they are so funny! OK techinical difficulties check back later for some reason I can't get it to download...

6 Things about Grant
Grant is going to be 3 in two weeks so I thought I would post some of the funny little things about him. 1. He still sucks his thumb, this I am not all that worried about yet, I am going to focus on potty training first (ugh!). He is so funny with his thumb, he likes to rub something with the other hand while he is sucking his thumb. Ususally he has his hand on his belly while sucking his thumb but if he is laying down next to me he likes to rub the mole on my cheek... why I do not know but he has always done this, and if i have my head turned he will grab my face and turn my head so he can reach it, too funny! 2. He loves to talk on the phone to nana and papa he get so excited when I call nana and wants to get on the phone but the funny thing is this is how the conversation goes.... "Hi nana, Bye nana" and then hands me the phone, he is already a man of few words. 3. He takes 2 of something (usually 2 cars, but can be 2 of anything) and makes them talk to each other like they are friends. It is so funny, he will have them say "Hello what is your name? You are my friend." He has these little conversations with his toys all the time and it cracks me up every time. 4. He asks me "mommy what's your name?" and I respond "it's mommy" he says "it's Amee Wancaster". He will also call daddy Chad David.... oops guess I say that too much! 5. When Grant agrees with something instead of saying me too he says me three, which always cracks me up. 6. When you ask him "Grant how old are you going to be on your birthday?" He says 4. Even though we have told him a thousand times no you are going to be 3, he says "I B 4on my birday!" Even though you may look 4 bud sorry to say you are only going to be 3 and that is fine with mommy, you are getting too big as it is anyway.
This morning mommy's pumpkins were the "friends" that he was playing with, they even came to eat breakfast with him.
